Meet the Crew

Maryjean is the owner/founder of Happy Horses Farm LLC, located in Glen Mills Pa, and is pictured here with her 9 year old Morgan Horse, Dusty. Maryjean has a love for animals and children and wanted to incorporate both passions, offering parties, lessons, rides and much more, to children and adults. Off the farm, Maryjean is a mom to 5 and helps with the Chester County 4-H Dairy Club, that 2 of her daughters are members of.

Jenna is the co-owner of Happy Horses Farm and pictured with her 18 year old Thoroughbred horse, Champ. Jenna and Champ compete in many local events, and have won several ribbons together. You will see Jenna helping on the farm with events and workshops.

Oreo (also called "Smally") is our 16 year old Miniature Morgan horse. Although he is smaller, and perfect for our beginners and keeps us laughing with his funny personality.

Chavel is a 9 year old Thoroughbred retired race horse. Chavel came to us in May of 2022 and is still in training, but loves people and being exercised.

Jag is also a Thoroughbred who is 30 years young. Jag is a gentle giant and loves attention, and treats.

Unfortunately, we had to say goodbye to Jag on March 11th, 2026. Jag had a mass grow in his small intestine, cutting off bloodflow, requiring emergency surgery. jag made it through surgery, but his intestines never recovered. We love you forever, Jag 💔

Candy came to us in 2022 with an ear injury. We have helped her fully recover although she is a little shy. Candy will usually warm up to people for a treat.

Honey Girl is a love bug! She loves to be petted and fed animal crackers. Honey Girl was our first goat and is a little spoiled.

Nubby was saved from the auction and definitely thinks he is more of a person than a goat. Nubby has a huge personality and sometimes gets himself into mischief.

Dolly is a black angus heifer calf that recently joined our family ( born 7/09/2024) Dolly had a rough start, and spent the first week of her life at the New Bolton Center, for large animals. Dolly suffered from a rare condition called "Weak Calf Syndrome". With the wonderful care she received at New Bolton, she is on the road to a full recovery, and a spoiled life :)

Parton is a Jersey calf that we borrowed from our friends at Bailys Dairy, in West Chester. We borrowed Parton to keep Dolly company, during her recovery. Like horses, cows are herd animals and don't do well alone. When Dolly came home from the hospital, she became very sad and didn't want to eat. We introduced Parton to Dolly and they instantly bonded and are the best of friends. Welcome to the farm, Parton. ( Parton officially became a permanent member of Happy Horses Farm on 12/20/2024)
